Nashville, TN – Neal & Harwell attorney Bill Ramsey will host the 27th Annual Ode to Otha Online on Saturday, June 5 at 2:00-9:00pm. Ode to Otha Online will feature music from artists Sharde Thomas (Otha’s granddaughter) and the Rising Star Fife and Drum Band, John Jackson and Friends, Stacy Mitchhart, Blue Mother Tupelo, Juke Skywalker, J.D. Simo, Chip Greene, Dana Robbins and Griffin Winton. All proceeds benefit Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee.
Ode to Otha celebrates Otha Turner’s lifetime of music and his legacy. The event was established on the understanding that food and music have the power to make a difference, so the tradition continues by going virtual again this year. This is an excellent way to support a great cause and enjoy great music. If you miss it, there will likely be additional opportunities to watch the stream from the sites below.

About Ode to Otha
Each year, Nashvillian Bill Ramsey hosts a birthday bash honoring Otha Turner and his music. Otha Turner started playing the fife and drums at local picnic parties at a young age and became the leader of the Rising Star Fife and Drum Corps. He used the money he would make to purchase a farm where he and his family lived. Although Otha is no longer with us, his spirit and music live on in Sharde Thomas, his granddaughter, who continues the centuries-old fife and drum tradition along with other family members in the Rising Star Fife and Drum Band. All proceeds from the event benefit Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee. For additional information, visit www.othaturner.com.
